For Immediate Release:Balm in Gilead Continues Helping Our Community. People need our help more than ever before. Fayetteville, NC – Balm in Gilead’s (BIG) Annual Thanksgiving Day Giveaway is following strict COVID-19 protocols and will be hosting a Drive-Thru ONLY event (no walk-ins or walk-ups will be served). Every year BIG helps those that are hurting, whether it’s a hurricane, other disasters, or just life, helping literally thousands of people each month, this all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit works hard to help so many. BIG is partnering with “It Takes Two Catering” and “Noth’n Fancy Food Truck” for our annual Thanksgiving Day Meal, Thursday, November 26, 2020. A hot meal will include turkey and ham and all the trimmings. People must call to reserve their spot before Tuesday, November 24, 2020. To register call (910) 424-2645 and leave a message and a case manager will return your call as soon as possible. This year BIG has their standard “Thanksgiving Grocery Bundles” and they will be distributed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This year, food bundles for needy veterans will be distributed on Tuesday.
