Minority youth invited to join golf mentorship program
(Fayetteville, N.C.) – Youth are invited to join the Sigma Pi Phi-PGA Junior League Golf Program, a free program that has the purpose of increasing minority youth mentorship and participation in the game of golf. The kick-off is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 4, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. The program is for minority youth between the ages of 5 and 17 who live in the Fayetteville area and have an interest in learning to play golf. League sponsors partner with PGA professional Kevin Martin to host the program.
Those who participated last year are encouraged to participate again. New players are welcome. The kick-off will be held at King’s Grant Golf and Country Club located at 347 Shawcroft Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28311. The golf program is tentatively scheduled for each Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. for six continuous weeks.
