Feena’s & Steamer’s Kitchen Ushers in a New Chapter — and a Taste of Home — with Soft Opening May 20

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — There are businesses, and then there are pillars of the community. Feena’s has always felt like the latter. On Monday, May 20 at 5:00 p.m., Feena’s & Steamer’s Kitchen will host its soft opening and tasting preview at its brand-new location: 724 N. Reilly Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303.

Let me tell you—this is more than just another restaurant opening. As a Fayetteville State University alum, I’ve personally watched Feena’s become a comfort stop, a memory-maker, and even a mini campus extension for so many of us who’ve walked the halls of FSU. We didn’t just grab dessert. We connected. We gathered. We breathed.

The event will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:20 p.m., followed by a tasting preview at 6:00 p.m., complete with music, refreshments, and a meet-and-greet with Feena herself and the new kitchen team. This new space inside Feena’s Plaza is home not only to the kitchen but also to Feena’s Frulato: A Taste of Paradise—a tropical dessert concept that’s been turning heads since its debut.

Guests must RSVP to attend by emailing feena1234@aol.com. Space is limited.

This isn’t just a relocation; it’s a rebirth. Previously located in Bronco Midtown, just across from FSU, Feena’s earned the love of a wide and diverse community—from students and alumni to military families and long-time Murchison Road residents. With the recent spike in rent prices, the move is logical—but make no mistake, it’s still emotional.

For some, this may feel like the end of an era. But I see it differently. I see it as a new beginning for a brand that’s never stopped showing up—for the students, for the underserved, for the everyday folks just looking for a good meal or a little kindness. Whether it was free community feedings, back-to-school backpack drives, or just staying open late so a student could grab personal items or a birthday gift, Feena’s has always gone beyond the plate.

The new location is an opportunity to grow without losing the heart that built it all. And knowing Feena’s history, it won’t just be another kitchen—it’ll be a place where the community continues to feel seen, fed, and celebrated.

Media are invited to cover the event and join in this fresh beginning.

From Murchison Road memories to Reilly Road reinvention, Feena’s isn’t going anywhere. If anything, it’s leveling up. And trust me, as someone who remembers the quick runs and meetups at the old spot, it’s worth the drive.
