FayPD detectives are investigating a shooting which occurred in the parking lot of 700 S. Reilly Rd.

Fatal shooting occurred this evening on Reilly rd in the plaza beside Cliffdale rd. Per Fayetteville Police Department: “At approximately 4:59 pm officers responded to the location reference reports of shots fired. While officers were investigating, a gunshot victim arrived at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Their identity is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification.
